Ceramic Nozzle
Orange County Instruments
August 3, 2009
Irvine- Orange County Instruments (OCI) announces the introduction of a family of ceramic nozzles. These are made of zirconia resulting in excellent resistance to wear. The result is a life that can be up to 10 times a stainless steel construction. Outlet port sizes from a 16 mil (0.4 mm) down to 1 mil. The difference in the tip construction allows for a very affordable nozzle design. These are ideal for fluids such as Solder Paste, Silver filled adhesives, UV Resins, under fills, glob tops, and other materials. The advantages include: Very high quality and precision nozzle construction – particularly around the outlet port results in better quality and faster dispense. The conical design resulted in less clogging and lower pressure. Dispensing in close quarters may require thinner walls and semi blunt, precision and ultra precision options allow for expense to be spent only if required,

Irvine- Orange County Instruments (OCI) announces its development of a lurelock adaptor that allows for the OCI ceramic nozzle to be used in all existing dispensers. This combines with the new family of ceramic nozzles for dispensing introduced in April. This allows for most dispensing operations to purchase a dispensing nozzle that lasts 10 times longer than those in common use. It is
tiny, precision tooling that lowers total costs and improves quality. With dispense nozzle opening as small as 0.001 inch -- a huge performance edge that nobody can claim today. Our new dispensing nozzles are truly a breakthrough in state-of-the-art ceramics; they’re molded rather than machined; they’re harder, more true to shape, and less prone to performance drift than any stainless nozzle can be. We’re eager to show them
